Target Beneficiaries
Kalamin Karangal began as a Trust that pioneered rejuvenating underprivileged slums and vulnerable neighborhoods into self-sustaining and developed communities. Through our one-stop centers, we provide support to slum dwellers to obtain government identities, access public benefit schemes, impart skills leading to employment, offer micro-finance, and provide access to a habitable environment and basic education.
Project Scope
We primarily support projects that affect women and children. In addition, we help NGOs and nonprofits who work with the following vulnerable populations:
Orphans
Child laborers
First-generation learners
Rural and slum communities
Persons with disabilities
Persons affected by HIV
Social Activities
We are also involved in several social activities, including:
Providing educational assistance to outstanding students from economically weaker sections to pursue higher studies.
Conducting medical awareness campaigns (e.g., cancer, dengue, AIDS), medical camps, and blood donation drives.
Organizing women's welfare programs, including sanitary distribution, educational training, and financial assistance for entrepreneurship.
Supporting individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities and orphaned children with essentials like food, clothing, and free education.
Running knowledge awareness programs on topics like Taxation, GST, PF, Compensation Benefits, Insurance, Stock Market, IT, and Human Resources.
Promoting social awareness programs inspired by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, such as "Green India" by planting trees.
